I’m a developer and on top of that an internet addict. I have accounts with logins and passwords on so many sites I can’t begin to tell you how many I’ve lost. However, this does NOT happen anymore and I don’t have to remember a thing. Enter KeePass Password Safe . It’s an all-inclusive password manager, password generator, and password auto filler using only the best and safest techniques to keep your passwords safe even from keyloggers. I used to use 3 passwords for all my accounts. Now I use a different password for everything and each one is over 20 characters long with all types of characters. It’s User friendly yet has a massive amount of options, is free and open source, and they even have a portable version that exists in only one directory. I use it on my USB drive so I can bring my passwords everywhere I go.
First off, Keepass runs in your system tray, and "locks" after a certain amount of time so no one can get into it without a master password and/or key file. These are the motions I go through. If I go to a new website or program that needs a password, I go into Keepass and create a new entry with the username that I want to use for the website, it automatically generates a password with whatever options you have set up and I copy the password into the site. I then finish my registration and go to the site’s login screen. From there I go back to KeePass and assign the entry to the browser page. That way, every time I go to a website that needs my login info, I just press Ctrl+Alt+A and it enters in all my information automatically. I have clients and many passwords of my own so it’s impossible to remember them all. KeePass is perfect for me.
Supported operating systems:
Windows 98 / 98SE / ME / NT / 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / Wine, each 32-bit and 64-bit.
Download KeePass Password Safe
There’s even a 3rd party KeePass Plugin page hosted on the official KeePass site that can offer even more features.
KeePass Ports are also available for PocketPC Smart Devices, Linux, MacOS X, J2ME, BlackBerry, PalmOS, PortableApps Suite, U3 Devices, and Preinstalled Environments.
If you have KeePass or just downloaded it, How does it work for you? Do you know of any similar programs that you think are better?

This will be useful. I have too many accounts to. Its frustrating when someones has taken your usual username or the site doesn’t let you use your usual password.
